We’re going to cancel our last club meeting of the spring today as a number of club members have emailed to say that they have other obligations already. This time of year is rather hectic for everyone! We did have a very good harvest of greens again in the garden this past weekend and planted several rows of peas. All the beds are turned over and ready for planting, panting for the passage of the last frost date.
We could use some help with that planting in the coming weekends. Please email if you’re able to come get the big beds dotted and dashed with lots of eager little seeds!
Also, we have a speaker coming on the last day of classes Monday, May 2nd. In honor of International Compost Awareness Week Rozanne Oliver of the Piedmont Master Gardeners is coming to the Bolick Center during college hour at 12:20 to talk about making good compost for your garden. Please come and join us!
