Update on the irrigation project

Good news! Michael Van Arsdale, Scite member, irrigation project leader and general all round good guy is working with Scite advisor David Duvall-Early to move the irrigation project along. The proposed date to begin the construction is the first weekend in July. We’re very excitedly looking forward to what this will mean for getting water reliably to all the raised beds. Thus far we’ve done well this year with a few sprinklers and hoses – and a lot of regular rains! Come out July 2nd and watch the fun.

Hooray for teamwork

Here is a special thanks to the extra help from students in the summer micro-biology class.  Everyone kicked butt and we managed to clear out and plant two beds as well as string up the tomatoes and cucumbers.
